4th of July

This year's 4th of July Celebration plans have been finalized.  Festivities have already started with the annual sale of fire works at Jim Hartzell's Construction (1103 W Clay Ave).  Proceeds from fire works are used for Plattsburg's Fireworks presentation.

Saturday, July 2nd is customer appreciation day at the fire works sell--Free hot dogs and drinks will be served and there will be a patriotic bike decorating contest with 2 categories (under 10 and 10+ years of age).


On 4th of July all festivities will be at Perkins Park (East side of Plattsburg off of 116 Hwy).

We will start serving hamburgers, hot dogs, polish sausages and chips about 5:00 PM and will continue till all are gone.  We are asking for a donation for the food with the money going to the Mayors Christmas Fund.  Mustang Amusement will have several “blow up games “for the kids to play; to include a 2 story slide, jousting, bungee jumping and of course a bouncing house.  There will be a small charge for these games of $1.00 to $3.00.  Also we will have additional games, a water slide, and prizes for the winners!  What a great time to bring family and friends to show off Perkins Park. 

Most importantly, the main event is “Crazy Jimmies “huge fireworks display starting at “O Dark Thirty” – about 9:30 PM depending on weather. We will have bottled water available, but you may want to bring your own cooler as well. Come to Perkins Park and help celebrate our Nations Birthday.
